Limited Liability Corporations (LLC)

 

A limited liability corporation (LLC) is the simplest and easiest corporation to operate. Unlike a regular corporation, a LLC does not have bylaws, directors, annual meetings, or shares of stock. An LLC is the preferred corporate structure of small businesses.

Mr. Sutton can review or draft employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and severance agreements.

 

Stewart A. Sutton also has successfully represented many former employees who are owed wages and/or commissions by their former employers. A court can award treble damages and attorney’s fees against Maryland employers that withhold wages or commissions in bad faith.  In 2013, Maryland enacted legislation to permit an employee who is owed wages to place a lien on his or her employer’s property.
